Spending 5 days in the Death Valley and living in a tent has been the most surreal experience of my life. Not knowing what to expect as we made this trip, being surprised is one way of expressing the feeling. The terrain is varied, sand, snow, rocks, vegetation, nothing will prepare you for it. The days are as hot as the nights are cold and you are changing your wardrobe every few hours of the day.
